In early 2009, The Aetna Foundation awarded a grant of $25,000 to support PNDRI's Type 1 Diabetes Initiative. This initiative directly supports PNDRI's important type 1 diabetes programs including – newborn screening, TEDDY, and promising clinical drug trials.

By supporting the Pacific Northwest Diabetes Research Institute, you will be investing in research that is looking to prevent or cure diabetes and its complications. Your support is needed as this uncontrolled epidemic continues to claim more lives. For over 50 years, your generosity has helped us make life-saving advances in medical and diabetes research and we are very grateful for your support.
