Advancing Genetic Research, Together: Our FY24 Annual Report

At Pacific Northwest Research Institute (PNRI), our Annual Report is more than a record of facts and figures—it’s a moment to reflect on where we’ve been, celebrate what we’ve accomplished, and look ahead to what’s next.

We’re proud to share our Fiscal Year 2024 Annual Report, highlighting a pivotal year of transformation and momentum at PNRI. Inside, you’ll find messages from our CEO and Board President, a snapshot of our financial health, and stories that speak to the heart of our mission: advancing genetic research to improve human health.

“Now, more than ever, the research and discovery undertaken at PNRI and other institutions across the country—and around the world—need and deserve our support.”

Jack Faris, PhD
PNRI Chief Executive Officer

As we near our 70th anniversary, we remain rooted in a legacy of pioneering scientific discovery while embracing bold change–powered by today’s tools and technologies that are accelerating breakthroughs in genetic research.

That momentum defined FY24, a year marked by expansion—of our scientific collaborations, our educational programs, our public engagement, and our community of supporters.

From returning to in-person events like Bold Breakthroughs to hosting our first Rare Disease Hackathon, launching our new podcast series PNRI Science: Mystery and Discovery, expanding our Summer Undergraduate Research Internship (SURI) program–we’ve been focused on building a stronger, more connected institute.

CEO Jack Faris, PhD, describes science as a “colossal and invaluable human enterprise”—a sentiment that runs through every page of this year’s report. We hope you’ll take a moment to explore the milestones, partnerships, and possibilities that are shaping the future of PNRI.

Thank you for being part of our journey. With your continued support, we’re pushing the boundaries of genetic research to achieve a healthier future for all. Read the FY24 Annual Report here.
